We Say...

What’s more fantastically queer than Grace Jones being accidentally delivered in a rather large box to Pee-Wee’s Playhouse for a performance of “Little Drummer Boy?” Well, if you’re in Orlando (and reality), the Orlando Gay Chorus’ annual foray into all things mistletoe and misty eyes should do the trick. Ostensibly not your grandmother’s Christmas spectacular – although a loinclothed all-male Nativity scene would surely be amazing – the OGC promises a celebration of “the diversity of the season” in a style all its own: holiday classics with a spin “and a touch of the unexpected.” Why all the teasing! Anyway, the “Silent Night” probably won’t be so silent and the fits of church giggles will be unnecessary when the big burly men (and women!) remind the community that, no, you don’t have to be a breeder to wish “Joy to the World.” Also, why can’t Daddy be kissing Santa Claus? He can! – Billy Manes
