    • Anna’s Polish Restaurant

Charming little eatery offers up a bevy of Polish staples - corpulent kielbasas, pillowy pierogies and a hearty goulash. The crispy chicken cutlet is worthy of "chef's specialty" status, while the red borscht will get some vegetables on the plate in this meat-lover's haven. Like the service, the apple strudel shines.

    • Chef Henry's Cafe

Chef Henry's Cafe is a charming place with authentic Eastern European cuisine expertly prepared. The prices make this one of the best meal deals in town. Have the Potato Knoddel appetizer and experience the "Fazula"or Pea Soup. The Hungarian Goulash and Chicken Paprikash are delicious, but the Cabbage Rolls is exceptional. Apple Strudel is a must.

    • Europol Polish Deli

Neither the plain storefront (home of he former Warzawa), buried in the plaza at the juncture of Aloma ave and SR 436, nor the space shotgun interior indicates the wealth of stock inside; frozen homemade pierogi, fresh rye bread, Polish butter, and a dozen kinds of sausage.

    • Lacomka Bakery & Deli

The multicultural mix of foods from Russia includes whole smoked herrings so tender that they spread like pate. Potatoe dumplings and borscht worthy of a stay at the Summer Palace are also served. On your way out, buy a box of Czar Nicholas Royal tea or take home some meat and cheese blintzes

    • N. Park Ave. Deli & Market
    • Polonia Polish Restaurant

Polonia is polish food at its best, including pierogis, kielbasas, stuffed cabbage, mouth-watering blintzes, reubens, red beet soup, babka and, of course, potato pancakes.

    • Stanpol Polish Deli

The little storefront deli, owned by a diminutive but gregarious Pole with a wisp of white hair, is a well-stocked Polish grocery store filled with delicacies; it's also a café, serving every permutation of boiled meat and cabbage imaginable. The braised pork short ribs are meltingly tender; when accompanied by mild Polish sauerkraut, they are true comfort food.
